The last vacation we had was back in August, 2005 and was yet another trip to Puerto Vallarta. While we almost went to New Orleans (and I'm very sorry now that we did not - after Katrina, New Orleans will never be the same), but the draw of the beauty and magic of Puerto Vallarta won out. A few of our photos on on the various pages, but I will include a few shots here. Unfortunately, I fell down the stairs prior to the trip, ended up with very swollen and bruised ankles, and did not manage to take many photographs! One truly favorite location is Chico's Paradise, a restaurant nestled in the cliff above a river and waterfalls. Besides having extraordinary food, it is a real delight to watch the divers, and ultimately, to watch my own children brave the waters!

The town itself is a delight, with street vendors abounding, children playing, savory smells wafting and gorgeous beaches.
