I'm not exactly sure how to keep really current on these pages yet and I don't have loads of time. But, I'd like to share a few of the digital photos I took on our outing yesterday in the digital photography class.

The last month or so, as per usual, I've just been working like a madwoman at Whidbey Island Academy or Island Dance. (I should just include that sentence as part of my website template, because it never seems to change!) Like most of us at this moment in time, income taxes have been a predominant force in my life!! Finally, I'm happy to say, that mine have been completed and have gone off for the final finish was my glorious accountant, Harlan.

School has been hectic as usual, with the added intrique of hiring a new superintendent for our school district. This has not been without issue (see the article in the Whidbey Record.) It was interesting to attend the three "meet the candidate" sessions and to see the direction finally taken by the school board in hiring. Other than that, we're beginning to prepare for the WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning) test, yet another school district item that carries with it much debate.

Dance has been trying with the wild wind storm and power outage, not to mention the flood! It shouldn't be like this! But, all the studios (five of them) are up and running now. Students are off to Co.Dance convention in Seattle and recently returned from Elite's competition, coming away with "best overall group." The dancers were very proud, as were we! Our gymnasts are about to go to their very first meet!

Sadly, I was forced to sell the Farmhouse and it's in escrow, hopefully closing this month.

On the personal front, I'm taking and enjoying Bobbi's Web Development class. It has given me an outlet for a bit of personal creativity, something that can be lacking in a great part of both of my jobs. While working on this website, I also hope to create a site, bogart14 productions, for Devin.

Newest news: I just began a digital photography class and am anxious to get to learn how to use my camera. Not only will I be able to take pictures for the website, but I hope to be able to learn how to take good pictures for Whidbey Island Academy and action shots at Island Dance.
